Meditations on my maternal lines for the healing energy of reiki to flow back through all the maternal wombs that I came from. Each piece of clay and meditation was spent channeling my womb, my mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and on. I prepare for the meditation with some breathwork, body movement to clear stagnant energy before stillness and the settling into the body with a distant reiki practice for each woman before me. The images were painted with black underglaze while looking at the photos and painting as a blind contour drawing, holding each line, contour, hair as an element that is now part of me.
